While September and National Recovery Month is behind us, the need to provide healthcare and support for those who have suffered from substance addiction is still with us. That is why SEAC is cosponsoring and organizing a inside look into an Overdose Prevention Center (OPC) to see harm reduction in action. This trip offers residents, service providers, and policymakers a one day trip out to Providence, RI to explore OPC‘s as an option to combatting this crisis.
SEAC is looking for community members who are interested in a tour of an Overdose Prevention Center in Providence RI, November 10, 2025. This visit is to give folks like you (residents, service providers, along with policymakers) an opportunity to see harm-reduction practices in action. The goal is to build understanding, reduce stigma, and explore how similar strategies might improve safety and health outcomes here at home. Seeing a functioning center helps move the discussion from theory to tangible, practical solutions that meet people where they are.
