Advocating and supporting anti-poverty initiatives and programs is one of SEAC’s Four Pillars of Focus, which is why we are thrilled and thankful we had the opportunity to sponsor Foodlink’s Curbside Market! SEAC staff and volunteers handed out a hundred vouchers to individuals so they could purchase an extra $5 of fresh, healthy food!
While handing out vouchers at The Manhattan Square Family Medicine, El Towers, and Pinnacle Place, we got to talk to some wonderful people, hearing some of their stories about their life, what they like about Rochester and their hopes for the Rochester 2034 Plan.
We look forward to supporting and collaborating with Foodlink again in the future!
Lastly- a very happy birthday to the Curbside Market, which has been bringing fresh fruit and vegetables to our communities now for 8 years! We appreciate all you do!
